North Projects is proud to support Papua New Guinea’s Connect PNG Programme – a transformative 20-year initiative aimed at achieving 100% road connectivity by 2040.
North Projects is proud to be contributing to the Connect PNG Economic Road Infrastructure Programme, a transformative 20-year initiative designed to deliver 100% road connectivity across Papua New Guinea by 2040. This flagship programme, launched under the Connect PNG Act 2021, represents one of the most ambitious infrastructure undertakings in the region, with a commitment to build 16,500 kilometres of roads and establish 14 key economic corridors linking communities across Papua New Guinea.
The Connect PNG Programme is more than a road-building project – it is a catalyst for economic growth, social inclusion, and sustainable development. By improving access to essential services such as health and education, and enabling the movement of goods and people, the programme will unlock opportunities for rural and urban communities alike. It also serves as a foundation for other enabling infrastructure, including electricity and ICT, supporting resource development projects and broader national growth.
“The Connect PNG Programme is a landmark initiative set to transform connectivity and enable lasting development across the nation. We’re proud to play a part in this vision – bringing our expertise to help deliver meaningful, sustainable outcomes for communities throughout Papua New Guinea,” said Tim Hogg, CEO of North Projects.
North Projects’ involvement includes providing technical due diligence, cost advisory, and programme management support to ensure delivery of resilient, climate-ready infrastructure that meets international standards. Our team is proud to play a role in shaping a connected, inclusive, and economically vibrant future for Papua New Guinea.
