NORTH awarded Australian Antarctic Division Infrastructure Renewal Program (AIRP)

North Projects is helping deliver the Australian Antarctic Division’s $450 million Infrastructure Renewal Program by providing cost assurance and master planning expertise for the modernisation of Wilkins Base, Davis, Casey, and Mawson research stations.

North Projects is proud to support the Australian Antarctic Division’s (AAD) Infrastructure Renewal Program (AIRP), a $450 million, decade-long initiative to modernise Australia’s Antarctic research stations, including Wilkins Base, Davis, Casey, and Mawson. The AIRP is upgrading critical infrastructure – fuel storage, water, energy, communications, and medical facilities, while enhancing environmental sustainability and supporting world-class science.

Our team has played a pivotal role across multiple project phases and locations. North Projects was engaged as embedded estimators within competitive alliance bid teams, providing independent owner’s estimates and cashflows for major packages like Wilkins Base and the Davis Critical Infrastructure Works. Notably, our NSW team delivered the first component at Wilkins Base, and our SA team has seamlessly continued the work, leading the master planning for the next stage and ensuring continuity and quality for the client.

“Our strength lies in our ability to work together as a truly national team. By drawing on expertise from across Australia, we deliver continuity, innovation, and the highest standards for our clients – no matter how remote or complex the project,” said Tim Hogg, CEO of North Projects.
