Snowy 2.0 Project will see the expansion of the existing Snowy Hydro scheme within Mount Kosciuszko National Park in New South Wales. It involves linking two existing dams, Tantangara and Talbingo, through a network of 29km of waterway tunnels and a new underground power station. Construction is currently underway covering a wide range of infrastructure including access roads, camps, buildings, utility services, earthworks, caverns and tunnelling works. Started in 2019 construction is expected to finish in 2026.

Services Provided

Working collaboratively with the Joint Venture team, North was engaged as the Specialist Infrastructure Estimator and tasked with leading the engineering services component of the project. This role involved close liaison with Project Managers and Senior Project Engineers to interpret the design brief, define the project scope, and ensure all deliverables aligned with client expectations. Through first-principle cost development and regular coordination with estimating, project, and procurement teams, the team ensured accuracy, consistency, and adherence to tight bid schedules.
