Simon is an infrastructure and project advisory leader with 15+ years’ experience delivering civil, water, transport and public realm programs across South Australia. His background spans leadership roles and consultancy, with capability across planning, design management, procurement, contract administration and project governance.
Simon has led multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, asset management, GIS, urban design and landscape architecture, working with executives to structure delivery, manage risk and improve outcomes. He has supported asset portfolios in excess of $2B and annual capital programs up to $110M, bringing a balance of commercial discipline, stakeholder management and whole-of-life thinking. A key strength is connecting asset design decisions to long-term performance, helping clients weigh short-term affordability against whole-of-life cost, maintainability, resilience and sustainability outcomes.
At North, Simon supports asset owners and delivery partners from early definition through to delivery, developing scopes and delivery strategies, strengthening governance and controls, and providing client-side leadership through delivery assurance, project management, and Superintendent / contract administration roles. He supports option development by bringing together scope definition, constructability, cost and risk to optimise outcomes over the asset lifecycle.
Simon is a Fellow of IPWEA and has contributed to IPWEA (SA) State Guidelines supporting consistent design, construction and handover of public assets.
