Acciona Energy is shaping the next chaper of Australia’s clean energy transformation with the Aldoga Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Project – an 800MWh facility located north-west of Gladstone on Queensland’s central coast. Designed to strengthen grid reliability and maximise renewable generation, the project will feature a 275/33kV substation, advanced battery systems, and purpose-built operations and maintenance facilities. Strategically positioned beside the Aldoga Solar Farm which is part of Queensland’s broader commitment to increasing renewal energy supply and reducing carbon emissions, BESS will draw power from Powerlink’s Larcom Creek 275kV substation storing clean energy and delivering it when Queensland needs it most.
